Vacancy for Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer

Llangors Community Council is seeking to appoint a Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer with immediate effect. This permanent post is for 40 hrs per month and the post holder is required to work from home. Salary will be in accordance with the NALC recommended scale LC1 Band 13-17, £12.97-£13.95 per hour, dependent on experience.

The Council is seeking to appoint a person who is self-motivated and has good numeracy, literacy and IT skills. Experience is desirable but not essential as training and support will be available for the successful candidate.

The Clerk is expected to work with Council members to organise monthly evening Council meetings and will produce agendas and minutes. The Clerk will help to ensure that the Council conducts its business properly. They will provide independent, objective and professional advice and will support the Council in the formation of its policies and activities.

The ideal applicant will be able to work on their own initiative and in collaboration with Councillors.

The Clerk will also assist with the Council’s website.

A knowledge of Welsh would be desirable but not essential.

Hours are flexible apart from the Council meetings.
