Local roads and highways

Did you know that Llangors Community Council pay particular interest into the condition and maintenance of roads within the local community?

Your Community Councillor, Simon Bailey, takes point on these matters and liaises directly with Powys Highways Officers and representatives to not only report issues quickly but follow up on action needed. This can be anything from signage, to potholes, to visibility issues.

In the past 12 months a visibility issue was raised in Llangors at the junction by the lake (what3words grid reference: ///down.accordion.farm). Vehicles heading into Llangors were very hard to see from the junction and were not in the 20mph zone so could be coming at greater speed. Discussions were had and Community Councillor Simon Bailey made enquiries into what could be done. Highways were able to actually pull the junction forward in order to help with this matter, which has helped enormously!

If you notice any matters relating to local roads and highways that you feel needs attention, please report to the Community Council. If there are issues we know about, there are issues we can seek resolutions for. Without this information it can be much harder! You can report any matters to any member of the Community Council for this to be fed back to Councillor Simon Bailey, or report to him directly. All contact information is available to view in noticeboards and online at: Llangors Community Council – WHOS WHO

Help to keep our community a great place to live.

Thank you,
