Llyn Syfaddan History Group – Llangors Lake Log Boat Centenary Celebration

Llyn Syfaddan History Group are hosting a centenary event to mark the raising of the Llangors Lake log boat and its subsequent acquisition by the Brecknock Museum.

From the Chair of Llyn Syfaddan History Group, Roger Reece: “The discovery of the boat by Llangors resident Thomas Jenkins was, and still is, of national importance and deserves to be celebrated in its centenary year. Our history group has joined with the Brecknock Society and Museum Friends in organising the talk and display on the evening of the 19th September at Llangors. It will be a great opportunity for the communities around the lake to come together and celebrate this unique feature of our heritage.”
